Locations
Three countries, three distinct advantages.
Manufacturing location is a strategic decision, not a convenience. Each of the three sites answers a different question: where can we build and export from, where is the demand, and where is the engineering talent.
Site 1
Sultanate of Oman
The first plant, and the group's manufacturing base.
Policy and ownership
- Special economic zones and free zones offering 100% foreign ownership
- Long-term corporate tax exemption and exemption from VAT inside the zones
- Customs exemption on exported production; full repatriation of capital and profits
- In-Country Value programme that favours goods genuinely manufactured in Oman
- Vision 2040 industrial diversification actively courting advanced manufacturing
Position and logistics
- Sohar, Duqm and Salalah: deep-water ports on open ocean, outside the Strait of Hormuz
- A free trade agreement with the United States giving qualifying goods duty-free access
- GCC customs union access to the wider Gulf market
- Established gateway routes to East Africa, South Asia and the Far East
- Competitive industrial utility costs and a young, trainable workforce
The first direct-view LED panels made in Oman will come off this line — a product category the country currently imports in full.
Site 2
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The largest single market in the region, and the one most committed to buying local.
Industrial policy
- Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Strategy targeting a far larger manufacturing share of GDP
- Local-content frameworks that score and reward Saudi-made inputs in major procurement
- Preference for locally manufactured goods in government and large-project purchasing
- Industrial cities with serviced plots, utilities and logistics already in place
- 100% foreign ownership available for industrial investors
Demand
- Giga-projects, stadiums, airports and retail developments specifying large-format LED by the thousand square metres
- A nationwide education and training programme buying interactive panels at scale
- Broadcast, control-room and corporate display refresh cycles
- Advertising and digital out-of-home networks in every major city
- Red Sea and Gulf ports for inbound components and regional distribution
Panels built in the Kingdom carry a Made in Saudi Arabia origin — manufactured locally, supported locally, and staffed by Saudi engineers and technicians trained on the line.
Site 3
Syrian Arab Republic
An engineering workforce and a reconstruction market, meeting a manufacturing gap.
Framework and access
- A new investment law offering tax reductions for priority industrial and export activity
- Customs exemptions, full foreign ownership and profit repatriation for licensed projects
- Sanctions relief that has begun to reopen banking, trade and supply channels
- Land and industrial premises available on terms that suit assembly-intensive work
- Proximity to Levant, Turkish and Iraqi markets by road
People and demand
- A deep pool of electrical and electronic engineers and technicians
- An established light-manufacturing tradition in Aleppo and Damascus
- Reconstruction demand across schools, hospitals, transport and public information systems
- Broadcast and public-display infrastructure being rebuilt from a low base
- Almost no domestic production of display electronics today
Made in Syria is the point of the third plant: advanced manufacturing work carried out by Syrian engineers, in Syria. All GEMCO activity there is conditional on full compliance with applicable international trade, banking and export-control regulations, assessed before each stage of investment.
Manufacturing in one, serving all three
Because the plants share a layout, a process and a component list, capacity and engineering support move between them.
